Virtual Centre Tranche 2 (VCT2) pioneered new approaches and set up some fundamentally new ways of working. This resulted in different delivery methods, different governance frameworks and different team approaches between Virtual Centre (VC) and other activities. By 2019 it became clear that harmonization was required and in April 2020 the new software development organization was established together with Sky-Soft-ATM, Skyguide’s daughter company. The aim was to take on the challenge of extending the VC model as well as setting up an industrialized solution which reshaped team structures and working methods. New key roles were established. We are now in the phase of stabilizing the new organization to ensure service delivery quality and efficiency.
