Today tuesday, 31st of August 2021, CEO Alex Bristol, representing Skyguide, signed the Synthesis Report of the Area Development Aerodrome Dübendorf and underlines the commitment to contribute to the coordinated planning of the entire area.
Skyguide operates its air navigation center Zürich (ANZ) since 2006 in the north corner of the area of the former airbase and intents to develop the site according to its Vision 2035 and corporate strategy for success. Especially, to demonstrate the feasibility and the benefits of the Virtual Centre, the ANZ is together with the air navigation center in Geneva one of the cornerstones of the Virtual Centre concept which shall serve as key element in the modernisation of the European ATM system. With the increased development of the digitalisation, automation and virtualisation, the site ANZ will possibly grow of importance.
“It is important to Skyguide to be partner in the overall planning of the transformation of the current military airbase into the Innovation Park, the Federal Airbase Dübendorf and a civil airfield”, says Alex Bristol, CEO Skyguide.
