After a successful World ATM Congress in Madrid where skyguide was honoured with the Jane’s ATC award in the Runway/Approach category, the SES Innovation award and a special mention for the implementation of our service-orientated architecture, skyguide will look to build on this encouraging recognition and visibility on the international stage during the upcoming CANSO Global ATM Summit and 23rd AGM.

From June 17 to 19, skyguide will host CANSO’s flagship event that will bring together in Geneva over 200 global leaders from across the air traffic management (ATM) industry. This international forum always offers a good opportunity to strengthen existing partnerships, form new partnerships and discuss vital issues and projects that will steer the course for the future of the industry.

Partnering towards innovation will be crucial for the future of the ATM industry. As skyguide CEO Alex Bristol states in the Q2 edition of the Airspace magazine, we have the opportunity to “make air traffic management safer and more efficient and the technology is already available to do that” but the challenge is to “move together and move fast enough to make the advances relevant”.
