Geneva, 22 April 2026 – Skyguide has resolved the technical issue at the control centre in Dübendorf. An update to all affected workstations has fully restored the systems.

Skyguide has lifted the precautionary capacity restriction at the Dübendorf control centre. An update to all affected workstations restored the systems, making this step possible on Wednesday afternoon.

A technical problem had previously disrupted the interface between en-route and approach control. The system assists air traffic controllers in guiding incoming aircraft. As a result, flights were no longer reliably displayed.

Air traffic controllers therefore managed these flights using established and safe manual procedures. These procedures take longer. As a precautionary measure, Skyguide therefore reduced capacity by 30 per cent on Wednesday morning.

As capacity at Zurich Airport was already reduced due to the Bise, the technical issue hardly caused any additional delays. The weather-related restrictions may continue as long as the Bise conditions persist; they are however unrelated to the technical incident.

Air traffic safety was ensured at all times. Skyguide regrets any inconvenience caused to its partners, customers and their passengers.
